About Asyad Line

Asyad Line is the container shipping line of Asyad Group, the state-owned integrated logistics company of the Sultanate of Oman. It began life as Oman Container Lines (OCL), set up in 2010 as a common feeder operator moving boxes around the Gulf. In 2019 the company expanded into a full liner operator focused on the Arabian Peninsula and India trade, and in March 2020 it was renamed and rebranded as Asyad Line.

The line is built around Oman's three deepwater ports, Sohar, Duqm and Salalah, with Salalah sitting right on the main East-West trunk route through the Indian Ocean. Rather than sailing long-haul east-west legs itself, Asyad Line concentrates on regional connectivity: named weekly services include the Gulf Express (GEX) between Jebel Ali and the Omani ports, the India Express (IEX) and Oman Express (OEX) linking the Upper Gulf, UAE and Oman with Nhava Sheva and Mundra, and the Red Sea Express (REX) reaching Jeddah and Sokhna.

Its network spans the wider Middle East, the Indian subcontinent and East Africa, and it operates as part of Asyad's broader logistics offer that also covers port operations, transport and customs clearance. Asyad Line is identified in carrier systems by the SCAC code ASLU.

Asyad Line container tracking FAQ

What does the SCAC code ASLU identify?

ASLU is the Standard Carrier Alpha Code assigned to Asyad Line, the container shipping arm of Oman's Asyad Group. It appears on bills of lading and in tracking systems to identify the carrier.

Is Asyad Line the same as the original Oman Container Lines?

Yes. The company started as Oman Container Lines (OCL) in 2010 as a feeder operator, grew into a full liner operator in 2019, and was renamed Asyad Line in March 2020.

What are Asyad Line's main routes?

It runs regional feeder and liner services under names like Gulf Express (GEX), India Express (IEX), Oman Express (OEX) and Red Sea Express (REX), connecting Oman's ports of Sohar, Duqm and Salalah with the Gulf, the Indian subcontinent and the Red Sea.

How do I track a Asyad Line shipment?

Enter your Asyad Line container number, Bill of Lading (BOL), or booking number into Panvaya's tracker. You'll get the live vessel route, milestone events, and a predictive ETA in real time, with no Asyad Line account or login needed for a quick lookup.

What is Asyad Line's SCAC code?

Asyad Line's SCAC code is ASLU. It identifies Asyad Line on bills of lading and shipping documents. On Panvaya you don't need to enter it. Just paste your container, BOL, or booking number and we detect the carrier automatically.

Can I track Asyad Line containers by Bill of Lading or booking number?

Yes. Panvaya supports Asyad Line tracking by container number, Bill of Lading (BOL), and booking reference (BK). Any of the three returns the same real-time route, port calls, and ETA.

Is Asyad Line container tracking free on Panvaya?

Yes, you can track Asyad Line shipments for free, with no login for a quick lookup. Sign in to unlock the full journey: detailed milestones, predictive ETAs, transhipment legs, and exception alerts.

Why isn't my Asyad Line container updating?

Asyad Line tracking reflects what the carrier and vessel feeds have reported, so there is often a lag between a real-world move and the update. Panvaya refreshes on a regular cycle; a shipment that looks stuck usually just means the next milestone (such as vessel departure or discharge) hasn't been filed yet.

How accurate is the ETA for Asyad Line shipments?

Panvaya combines Asyad Line's schedule with live vessel position and historical performance to predict arrival, and refines the ETA as the journey progresses and conditions change. It is a continuously updated estimate, not a guarantee.
