What tracking modes does Panvaya support?
Panvaya tracks both ocean containers and air cargo from a single dashboard. For ocean, it covers containers and bills of lading across 200+ shipping lines and NVOCCs. For air, it supports air waybills (AWBs) across major passenger belly and freighter carriers. Both modes update in real time at every milestone.
How does automatic carrier detection work?
You just enter the container number or AWB and Panvaya identifies the carrier automatically. It reads standardized container prefixes (BIC/ISO), SCAC codes for ocean carriers, and the three-digit IATA prefix for air waybills, so you never need to pick the carrier manually.
Do I need to install anything to use Panvaya?
No. Panvaya is a web platform, it works in any modern browser on desktop or mobile. Several tools such as port congestion maps, the demurrage calculator, and the carrier directories are freely accessible without an account. Tracking your own shipments and accessing Control Tower requires a free account.
What is the Control Tower feature?
Control Tower is a proactive demurrage and detention monitor. It watches the free-time clock on every tracked container, shows the money at risk in real time, and forecasts the cost if your current plan holds, warning you in time to arrange pickup or empty return before per-diem charges start.
Does Panvaya measure CO2 emissions?
Yes. Panvaya calculates the carbon footprint of every shipment automatically using GLEC emission factors. It also provides a free carbon calculator for estimating and comparing the CO2 footprint of ocean and air routes by cargo weight and distance, without needing an account.
Is there an API for integrating Panvaya data into my own systems?
