Finnair Cargo is the freight division of Finnair, Finland's flag carrier, which was founded on 1 November 1923 as Aero O/Y and carries the IATA code AY and ICAO code FIN. Finnair is majority owned by the Finnish State, which holds about 56 percent of shares, and is a member of the oneworld alliance, which it joined in 1999. The airline is headquartered in Vantaa on the grounds of Helsinki Airport. Finnair Cargo is the largest air cargo operator in the Nordic region, handling on the order of 140,000 to 145,000 tonnes of freight and mail per year.

Finnair Cargo operates without dedicated freighter aircraft, moving shipments as belly capacity in the holds of Finnair's widebody passenger fleet of roughly 18 Airbus A350-900 and 8 Airbus A330-300 aircraft. During the pandemic-era demand shift the airline modified two A330-300s to carry freight in the passenger cabin, and it previously ran leased main-deck freighter services from Brussels in cooperation with DHL Aviation before returning to a belly-only model. The A350 widebodies gave Finnair a substantial increase in per-flight belly capacity across its long-haul network.

The operation centres on the COOL Nordic Cargo Hub at Helsinki Airport, a temperature-controlled terminal opened in 2018 that was built to lift Finnair's annual cargo capacity toward 450,000 tonnes; ground handling there is provided by Swissport. Helsinki's location gives short great-circle routings between Europe and Asia, and Finnair Cargo also runs logistics hubs at Brussels (BRU) and London Heathrow (LHR). The carrier specialises in temperature-sensitive traffic, including pharmaceuticals, seafood and other perishables, alongside general and high-value cargo across its Europe to Asia and Europe to North America lanes.
