About Samudera Shipping Line

Samudera Shipping Line Ltd traces its container business to 1988 and was incorporated as an independent Singapore company on 22 December 1993. It listed on the Singapore Exchange in September 1997 and still trades there under the ticker S56. The company is the Singapore-listed shipping arm of PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk, the Jakarta group founded in 1964 whose roots go back to Soedarpo Sastrosatomo's shipping agency work in the early 1950s.

The core business is intra-Asia container shipping run on a hub-and-spoke model out of Singapore. Samudera provides feeder services to main line operators, liner services to forwarders and traders, and inter-regional services to shippers. Its network reaches Indonesia and the wider ASEAN region (Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, the Philippines), the Indian Subcontinent (India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh), the Far East (Hong Kong and China) and the Middle East, with more than 50 services in the schedule.

Alongside container liner work, the group runs bulk and tanker vessels and an agency and logistics arm covering warehousing, customs brokerage and inland haulage. The company has been renewing its fleet, taking delivery of 1,900 TEU newbuild boxships to move beyond the small feeder tonnage it is historically known for.

How do I track a Samudera Shipping Line shipment?

Enter your Samudera Shipping Line container number, Bill of Lading (BOL), or booking number into Panvaya's tracker. You'll get the live vessel route, milestone events, and a predictive ETA in real time, with no Samudera Shipping Line account or login needed for a quick lookup.

What is Samudera Shipping Line's SCAC code?

Samudera Shipping Line's SCAC code is SIKU. It identifies Samudera Shipping Line on bills of lading and shipping documents. On Panvaya you don't need to enter it. Just paste your container, BOL, or booking number and we detect the carrier automatically.

Can I track Samudera Shipping Line containers by Bill of Lading or booking number?

Yes. Panvaya supports Samudera Shipping Line tracking by container number, Bill of Lading (BOL), and booking reference (BK). Any of the three returns the same real-time route, port calls, and ETA.

Yes, you can track Samudera Shipping Line shipments for free, with no login for a quick lookup. Sign in to unlock the full journey: detailed milestones, predictive ETAs, transhipment legs, and exception alerts.

Why isn't my Samudera Shipping Line container updating?

Samudera Shipping Line tracking reflects what the carrier and vessel feeds have reported, so there is often a lag between a real-world move and the update. Panvaya refreshes on a regular cycle; a shipment that looks stuck usually just means the next milestone (such as vessel departure or discharge) hasn't been filed yet.

How accurate is the ETA for Samudera Shipping Line shipments?

Panvaya combines Samudera Shipping Line's schedule with live vessel position and historical performance to predict arrival, and refines the ETA as the journey progresses and conditions change. It is a continuously updated estimate, not a guarantee.
