Unifeeder
SCAC: UFEE
Europe's largest feeder and short-sea container operator, part of DP World since 2018.
Unifeeder began in 1977 in Denmark as a feeder operator, moving containers between smaller regional ports and the major deep-sea hubs where the big ocean lines call. From its base in Aarhus it grew into the largest feeder and short-sea network in Europe, and today the operation runs around 150 vessels ranging from roughly 350 to 8,500 TEU, connecting more than 200 ports through over 16,000 port calls a year across Northern Europe, the Baltic, the UK, and the Mediterranean.

About Unifeeder
Unifeeder began in 1977 in Denmark as a feeder operator, moving containers between smaller regional ports and the major deep-sea hubs where the big ocean lines call. From its base in Aarhus it grew into the largest feeder and short-sea network in Europe, and today the operation runs around 150 vessels ranging from roughly 350 to 8,500 TEU, connecting more than 200 ports through over 16,000 port calls a year across Northern Europe, the Baltic, the UK, and the Mediterranean.
The business model is twofold. Its feeder arm carries boxes for the large container lines on the final regional leg into and out of hub ports, while its short-sea services offer shippers a waterborne alternative to European road and rail. Unifeeder also acts as an NVOCC on some lanes. In 2024 it pushed hard into the Mediterranean, launching seven new intra-Med services and tripling its market share in that trade to about 4.3%.
DP World bought Unifeeder in 2018 for roughly $764 million, and the company sits within DP World Marine Services. In December 2025 DP World began retiring the Unifeeder name, folding it and the P&O marine brands into a single corporate identity under which the feeder and short-sea operation is being renamed Shipping Solutions. The vessels, routes, and teams carry on unchanged; only the branding shifts.
Unifeeder container tracking FAQ
Who owns Unifeeder?
DP World, the Dubai-based ports and logistics group, has owned Unifeeder since 2018, when it acquired the company for around $764 million. Unifeeder operates within DP World Marine Services.
Where is Unifeeder headquartered and when was it founded?
Unifeeder was founded in 1977 and is headquartered in Aarhus, Denmark. It grew into the largest feeder and short-sea container network in Europe.
Is Unifeeder being rebranded?
Yes. Starting in December 2025, DP World began unifying its marine brands under one identity, and the Unifeeder feeder and short-sea operation is being renamed Shipping Solutions. The vessels, routes, and services continue unchanged.
How do I track a Unifeeder shipment?
Enter your Unifeeder container number, Bill of Lading (BOL), or booking number into Panvaya's tracker. You'll get the live vessel route, milestone events, and a predictive ETA in real time, with no Unifeeder account or login needed for a quick lookup.
What is Unifeeder's SCAC code?
Unifeeder's SCAC code is UFEE. It identifies Unifeeder on bills of lading and shipping documents. On Panvaya you don't need to enter it. Just paste your container, BOL, or booking number and we detect the carrier automatically.
Can I track Unifeeder containers by Bill of Lading or booking number?
Yes. Panvaya supports Unifeeder tracking by container number, Bill of Lading (BOL), and booking reference (BK). Any of the three returns the same real-time route, port calls, and ETA.
Is Unifeeder container tracking free on Panvaya?
Yes, you can track Unifeeder shipments for free, with no login for a quick lookup. Sign in to unlock the full journey: detailed milestones, predictive ETAs, transhipment legs, and exception alerts.
Why isn't my Unifeeder container updating?
Unifeeder tracking reflects what the carrier and vessel feeds have reported, so there is often a lag between a real-world move and the update. Panvaya refreshes on a regular cycle; a shipment that looks stuck usually just means the next milestone (such as vessel departure or discharge) hasn't been filed yet.
How accurate is the ETA for Unifeeder shipments?
Panvaya combines Unifeeder's schedule with live vessel position and historical performance to predict arrival, and refines the ETA as the journey progresses and conditions change. It is a continuously updated estimate, not a guarantee.
