About Arkas

The company owns Turkey's largest container fleet, running roughly 49 container ships as of 2024 with individual capacities from about 1,000 to nearly 2,900 TEU, the small and mid-size tonnage suited to regional and feeder work. Six eco-design vessels of 4,300 TEU are on order under a reported 360 million dollar program, and these will become the biggest ships Arkas has operated. Alphaliner has placed the carrier around 35th on its Top 100 ranking.
Arkas concentrates on the Mediterranean, the Black Sea, North and West Africa, Northern Europe and the Red Sea, using its own vessels alongside slot and partnership arrangements with lines such as COSCO, Evergreen, Yang Ming, Hapag-Lloyd and Grimaldi.
