SCAC: EUKO

Seoul-based pure car and truck carrier moving roughly 3.2 million vehicle units a year for the auto trade.

EUKOR Car Carriers is not a container line. It is one of the world's larger operators of Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTC), the deep-decked RoRo ships that vehicles are driven on and off rather than lifted in boxes. The company runs on the SCAC code EUKO and is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, close to the Korean auto industry that anchors much of its cargo.

About Eukor

EUKOR Car Carriers is not a container line. It is one of the world's larger operators of Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTC), the deep-decked RoRo ships that vehicles are driven on and off rather than lifted in boxes. The company runs on the SCAC code EUKO and is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, close to the Korean auto industry that anchors much of its cargo.

The name is a portmanteau of Europe and Korea, and the history explains it. EUKOR was formed in 2002 when Norway's Wilh. Wilhelmsen and Sweden's Wallenius Lines acquired the car-carrier arm of Hyundai Merchant Marine, with Hyundai Motor and Kia retaining a minority stake. Today the Wallenius Wilhelmsen group holds roughly 80 percent, while Hyundai and Kia hold about 20 percent and ship a large share of their Korean-built exports through the line.

By its own account EUKOR moves around 3.2 million CEU (car equivalent units) a year across a global network, carrying finished cars alongside trucks, construction and mining equipment, rolling stock, and heavy breakbulk. Core flows run from Korean plants to North America and Europe, with services reaching Africa, the Middle East, and Oceania. A December 2024 deal with Hyundai and Kia, and a new class of methanol dual-fuel ships, show where the fleet is heading.

Eukor container tracking FAQ

Is EUKOR a container shipping line?

No. EUKOR operates Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTC), which are RoRo vessels for wheeled and rolling cargo such as cars, trucks, and heavy equipment. It does not run container ships, so shipments are booked as vehicles or breakbulk rather than in TEU containers.

Who owns EUKOR Car Carriers?

EUKOR is part of the Wallenius Wilhelmsen group, which holds roughly 80 percent. Hyundai Motor Company and Kia together hold about 20 percent, a stake that dates to the company's 2002 formation from Hyundai Merchant Marine's car-carrier business.

What does the SCAC code EUKO identify?

EUKO is the Standard Carrier Alpha Code for EUKOR Car Carriers Inc., headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. It appears on bookings and Bills of Lading for the line's PCTC and RoRo shipments.

How do I track a Eukor shipment?

Enter your Eukor container number, Bill of Lading (BOL), or booking number into Panvaya's tracker. You'll get the live vessel route, milestone events, and a predictive ETA in real time, with no Eukor account or login needed for a quick lookup.

What is Eukor's SCAC code?

Eukor's SCAC code is EUKO. It identifies Eukor on bills of lading and shipping documents. On Panvaya you don't need to enter it. Just paste your container, BOL, or booking number and we detect the carrier automatically.

Can I track Eukor containers by Bill of Lading or booking number?

Yes. Panvaya supports Eukor tracking by container number, Bill of Lading (BOL), and booking reference (BK). Any of the three returns the same real-time route, port calls, and ETA.

Is Eukor container tracking free on Panvaya?

Yes, you can track Eukor shipments for free, with no login for a quick lookup. Sign in to unlock the full journey: detailed milestones, predictive ETAs, transhipment legs, and exception alerts.

Why isn't my Eukor container updating?

Eukor tracking reflects what the carrier and vessel feeds have reported, so there is often a lag between a real-world move and the update. Panvaya refreshes on a regular cycle; a shipment that looks stuck usually just means the next milestone (such as vessel departure or discharge) hasn't been filed yet.

How accurate is the ETA for Eukor shipments?

Panvaya combines Eukor's schedule with live vessel position and historical performance to predict arrival, and refines the ETA as the journey progresses and conditions change. It is a continuously updated estimate, not a guarantee.
